Fireworks engulf Shanghai during Chinese New Year – for anyone who hasn’t witnessed this it’s hard to explain their ubiquity.

On the last official night of CNY Jenna and I caught these fireworks in front of a restaurant just around the corner form our apartment. They were being launched in the middle of the street and exploding around 5 or 6 floors in the air.  This display lasted 2o minutes and was surely a scene repeated on countless street corners around most major cities in China.
