So I decided last minute to head to Qingdao this weekend for a spontaneous trip to the annual Qingdao International Beer Festival. It was a crazy, vibrant, and hazy 36 hours. Luckily I took a lot of photos and will be displaying them here all this week.
I had the honor of flying Air China, only 2 hours sitting on the runway, I hear this is about average.
After arriving we headed to “beer street” (seriously) where the original Tsingtao brewery was built by German settlers in 1903. So it’s not too crazy for them to claim that it’s the birthplace of beer culture in China.
Beer street aptly has trucks with kegs in them
We settled down to some $4 pitchers of fresh Tsingtao
I also eat a cicada at some point in the night…Don’t ask.
