Very good news from the NYT, they’ve launched what they’re calling the Visualization Lab. Here you can take NYT data sets and choose a variety of visualization options to chart them.
ThIs is all through a partnership with Many Eyes as well as Wordle (which rocks), so the production value of these visualizations are very high. Above is my take on the longest rushing plays by NFL teams this season.
While this is not something I’ll spend a lot of time playing around with, the fact that NYT is taking a leadership role in the world of data visualizations is notable. Nice work.
