It was not even two months ago when I implored NYC not to steal my bike…it didn’t work. She was lifted last night while I was eating dinner (within view of it) in the Lower East Side. Lock and everything – Gone.
The immediate shock and anger subsided and I was left standing in the middle of Rivington street contemplating my attachment to it. For a while I’ve tried to lessen my desire for material items but this was the first true test I’ve faced. Though unbelievably frustrating, I’m happy to say that was able to get over it pretty quickly.
I fucking loved that bike, but realize that I love biking even more and don’t regret that purchase for a second. There will definitely be more bikes (and bigger locks) in my future.
